We are looking for proactive, driven, and innovative interns to join our 2027 Summer Internship Program at Suzano’s Pine Bluff plant in Arkansas. As we navigate the complexities of engineering within a dynamic manufacturing environment, we seek individuals who can bring fresh perspectives, help solve technical challenges, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our operational processes. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience and the potential for full-time opportunities post-program.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and execution of engineering solutions focused on process improvement, equipment reliability, and production efficiency.
• Contribute to technical projects aimed at reducing downtime, optimizing energy usage, and improving plant performance.
• Perform administrative or technical tasks related to tracking and analyzing production and maintenance data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support engineering initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Adapt to evolving operational needs and priorities within the engineering and production departments.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited institution.
• Preferred: Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Must remain enrolled in the degree program after completing the internship.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing systems, and industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with tools such as Power BI, AutoCAD, or other engineering software is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Interest in process optimization, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate with diverse groups of people in a dynamic environment.
• Self-starter with a proactive mindset, eager to learn and take initiative.
