Four steps to enroll
Everything on the transfer enrollment checklist, at a glance.

Apply & send transcripts
Submit the application for admission, then have official transcripts sent to the Office of Admissions from every college you’ve attended. Once admitted, send proof of immunization.

Apply for transfer scholarships
Priority deadline is April 15. Transfer scholarships require 48 transferable hours and a 3.0 GPA and are awarded competitively.

File the FAFSA
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid as early as you can. The earlier you apply, the sooner you’ll see your award.

Reserve your housing
Living on campus? Fill out the housing application online with the $100 reservation fee.
Know what transfers
How your credits count
- Courses with a grade of C or higher transfer to SAU.
- Students from two-year colleges (including SAU Tech) can transfer up to 68 semester hours.
- Transferred hours post to your SAU transcript, but outside GPAs aren't used to calculate your SAU GPA.
- With 30+ attempted hours you'll need a 2.0 cumulative GPA (1.5 for 15–29 hours).
- Fewer than 24 hours? Send your high school transcript or GED and any ACT/SAT scores too.
