Creative Writing Workshop: Making Memorable Characters
Dr. Hicks has been a published creative writer for more than 20 years. He brings to this creative writing workshop his knowledge of how stories develop and how characters drive the plot forward. He will be able to answer questions in real time, offer examples from literature and other media, and provide practical advice that will help all attendees. This workshop will expand students’ understanding of how the texts they know create character. They will also learn about works they haven’t read or seen, and they will be able to apply the workshop’s lessons to their own projects.
