Nelson Hall was constructed alongside Cross Hall in 1937 using the New Deal’s Works Progress Administration. It was originally a women’s dormitory but now houses administrative offices for the Office of the Dean of Liberal and Performing Arts, the Communications Center, Graduate Studies, Office of the Registrar, and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.
