Southern Arkansas University’s Educational Examiner Graduate Certificate prepares educators to conduct psychoeducational assessments in K–12 schools. The 12-credit-hour program includes coursework in evaluation and intervention and two supervised educational examiner internships.

Admissions
Candidates must hold a master’s degree and a current teaching license to complete the program. Special Education K–12 certification is preferred. Candidates without it may take four prerequisite courses to prepare them for working with students with disabilities.
Licensure Requirements
Candidates must take the Praxis Principles of Learning and Teaching (PLT) assessment, choosing the grade level band for that assessment. They must meet the licensure requirements of the state of Arkansas. Candidates seeking licensure outside of Arkansas should check with their state licensing board for licensure requirements.
Field Experience
The program includes two supervised internships. Prospective students should discuss internship placement, scheduling, and any required field hours with the program advisor.
