Brandon Coy

Southern Arkansas University Master of Public Administration graduate Brandon Coy is bringing together stakeholders across the aerospace industry through the National Aerospace Chamber of Commerce (NACC).

According to the NACC website, the chamber “connects companies, suppliers, airports, government organizations, innovators, investors, workforce partners, and aerospace leaders to create business opportunities across the American aerospace economy.” While the chamber currently serves as a national platform for aerospace commerce, Coy sees potential for global outreach.

Working alongside Alex Cardenas, NACC’s CEO and chairman, Coy launched the nonprofit’s website and is now building the chamber’s membership base. As head of administration and public relations, he oversees marketing, manages the organization’s social media, helps plan future conventions and develops grant proposals to pursue funding for projects.

The chamber aims to make it easier for businesses, educators and public agencies to work together. By bringing these groups into the same network, NACC seeks to connect industry needs with training opportunities and help smaller businesses build relationships across the aerospace sector.

One such project is a proposed drone training facility at NACC’s headquarters, located at the 400-acre Patriot Airpark in Pocola, Okla. Coy and his team are pursuing sponsorships and grants to raise an estimated $9 million for the proposed 24,000-square-foot facility.

Plans for the center focus on workforce development and public safety applications of unmanned aircraft. NACC is seeking employer and training partners, including universities, high schools and law enforcement agencies, to help shape training around the skills those organizations need. The project remains in the planning and fundraising stages.

For communities in eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas, the goal is to expand access to aerospace training close to home. The proposed center would aim to help students and working adults develop skills relevant to employers while giving public safety agencies opportunities to strengthen their drone operations.

“There’s a lot going on with drones right now, from military weapon development to high school and college research opportunities to deliveries from companies like Walmart and Uber Eats,” Coy said. “We’re connecting businesses, educators, and government organizations, creating opportunities for everyone to come together.”

Originally from Lander, Wyo., Coy spent his formative years in Magnolia, Ark., and graduated from SAU with his bachelor’s degree in English in 2020 and his MPA in 2025. Today, he uses the skills he honed as a Mulerider to cultivate partnerships in the aerospace industry.

His responsibilities bring together both areas of his education. His English background supports the writing, research and communications involved in promoting NACC and developing proposals. His public administration training provides a foundation for coordinating an organization that works across business, government and education.

“SAU is a hidden gem,” Coy said. “The business administration and public administration programs are excellent. If you’re consistent, you will get out of these classes what you put in.”

Coy currently resides with his girlfriend, Tallita, in Bahia, Brazil, where he is learning Portuguese and enjoying the fitness community in Juazeiro. He is the founder of Built With Consistency (BWC) FIT, which offers online fitness coaching and personal training. He is also the proud father of daughter Emmy, who lives in Tennessee.

NACC welcomes inquiries from businesses interested in membership and from schools, employers and public safety organizations interested in exploring training partnerships. For more information about NACC, visit aerospacechamber.com or email Brandon Coy at info@aerospacechamber.com.
