Add your Exchange account<\/span><\/b><\/p>

Tap Settings > Mail > Add Account > Exchange.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Enter your information<\/span><\/b><\/p>

Enter your full email address<\/b> for both<\/b> Email and Username sections and your password. You can also enter an account description.<\/span><\/p>

Connect to the Exchange Server<\/span><\/b><\/p>

Your iOS device will try to find your Exchange Server. You might have to enter additional server information. If your iPhone can\u2019t find your settings, you\u2019ll need to manually look up your Exchange ActiveSync server name. It should be outlook.office365.com<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

Sync your content<\/span><\/b><\/p>

You can sync Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes. When you’re finished, tap Save.<\/span><\/p>

Edit your Exchange settings<\/span><\/b><\/p>

Tap Settings > Mail, and select your Exchange account, then tap Account Info. You can also go here to set up automatic out-of-office replies and change how often you want Mail to sync. By default, Mail will sync every seven days.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Our Exchange server no longer supports setting up an email in the built-in Mail app for Android, however, Google and Microsoft both have ways of setting this up. Both methods are provided below.<\/span><\/p>

Gmail<\/span><\/b><\/p>

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Install\/Open the Gmail app > Settings > Add account > Exchange and Office 365.<\/span><\/p>

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Enter your email address and password.<\/span><\/p>

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Accept any messages about allowing remote administration access or configuration.<\/span><\/p>

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Once you see the completion page, you can name the account.<\/span><\/p>

5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Reopen the Gmail app and go to the menu. Depending on if you have multiple accounts on the device, you will see an option for switching between email accounts.<\/span><\/p>

Outlook<\/span><\/b><\/p>

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Install\/Open the Outlook app > Settings > Add Account > Add Email Account<\/span><\/p>

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Enter your email address and password.<\/span><\/p>

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Accept and messages for allowing access to calendar, contacts, etc.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Your account is now on the Outlook app and should sync within a few minutes.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Third-party mail applications<\/u><\/p>

ITS often gets requests to allow syncing with third party mail apps.\u00a0 Each app must be thoroughly vetted; when we grant access to an app, that app will be able to read all messages in your mailbox, read the campus directory (all user contact information), and all calendar events.\u00a0 If a malicious app is approved or a legitimate app is compromised, that could be an extreme level of data exposure.<\/p>

These apps have been vetted for use with the SAU email system:<\/p>
