{"id":5646,"date":"2026-07-16T09:54:11","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T14:54:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/human-resources\/?p=5646"},"modified":"2026-07-16T10:34:41","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T15:34:41","slug":"tutor-coordinator-for-academic-enrichment-center-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saumag.edu\/human-resources\/2026\/07\/16\/tutor-coordinator-for-academic-enrichment-center-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Tutor Coordinator for Academic Enrichment Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Duties: Supervise day-to-day operations of the tutoring program; recruit, interview, hire, supervise, and evaluate peer and professional tutors; conduct group tutorials when feasible and\/or desirable; develop services online, if necessary; oversee online tutoring program (NetTutor); develop learning outcomes and assessment measures for tutoring program and tutor training; conduct student satisfaction surveys regarding tutoring services and support the academic success of students requesting tutoring; develop a reporting process to monitor and assess individual tutoring sessions; provide career\/cultural workshops to Student Support Services participants; coordinate and deliver tutor training; develop budget recommendations and track tutorial budgets and tutor payroll; provide weekly, end-of-semester, and end-of-year statistical information to the Director of Student Support Services; provide consultative services to faculty; maintain all related records; provide all record-keeping necessary to document tutorial sessions and individual students\u2019 progress; develop and coordinate activities to promote and publicize services; set up tutoring for summer school, if necessary; assist with Student Support Services activities and other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications: Master\u2019s degree in academic discipline, or closely related field; three years of experience in advising, counseling, or teaching at high school, college, or university level; interest in and knowledge of the educational, personal and social problems of disabled or educationally, culturally, or financially disadvantaged students; experience in coordinating, developing, planning, and monitoring all aspects of a tutorial program; recruit, train, and evaluate tutors; review, evaluate, and assist in the selection of materials used in tutoring and supplemental learning; familiarity with technology in an educational environment; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds; ability to adjust tutoring to an online format, if necessary.
