Greek Life at Southern Arkansas University prides itself on its campus and community involvement. Through partnership with local churches, schools, and non-profits, our Greek community as a whole totals over 10,000 community service hours every year. Additionally, our philanthropic efforts raise thousands of dollars for non-profits both locally and nationally.<\/p>\n
One of our biggest projects is our Can Drive during Greek Week, where we accept both non-perishable food items as well as hygiene products. In Spring of 2026, we donated 49,138 items that were given to the Mulerider Market, First United Methodist Church, the Boys and Girls Club, and Compassion’s Women’s shelter. Through our efforts, we have donated over 110,000 items to local non-profits over the last five years.<\/p>\n
A more recent addition to our service efforts is the Stan Fields Memorial Softball Tournament. Proceeds go to Magnolia Specialized Services, where Stan was a client. The event brings both undergraduate and alumni members together for a day of friendly competition and fellowship. Clients of Magnolia Specialized Services also participate in the event, uniting members of our campus with members of the community.<\/p>\n
