She is an instructor of Woodwinds at Southern Arkansas University, where she conducts the University Band and woodwind ensembles. In the music division of the Performing Arts Department, she teaches clarinet lessons and numerous music courses, including Fundamentals of Music Theory, Woodwind Methods, Intro to Music, and History of Rock Music.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Mickey has taught elementary music, music appreciation, and junior high and senior high instrumental music in Arkansas and Louisiana. In 1998, her band received a superior rating at the Louisiana District I Concert Band Festival.
