The conduct of clubs and individual club participants shall be in compliance with all Southern Arkansas University rules and regulations, including University codes of conduct and the University Off-Campus Misconduct Policy. The basic concept underlying the University\u2019s standard of conduct is that students, by enrolling in the University, assume an obligation to conduct themselves and their organizations in a manner compatible with the University\u2019s function as an educational institution. Individuals must always act in ways, which do not detract from the reputation of the University.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"868\" data-end=\"1102\">Listed below are behaviors and activities that are not allowed, rules and regulations that must be followed, along with punishment that can and will be handed down as a result of disobeying the code of conduct rules and regulations.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"2166\">No drugs or alcohol on SAU trips. Whether that is a pre-season trip, in-season, trip or an off-season trip.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"2166\">No tobacco during competitions or practices.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"2166\">No fighting.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"2166\">No foul language during competitions.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"2166\">No getting in trouble with the law either on-campus or off-campus.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"2166\">SAU attire will need to be worn during practice and official competitions. Remember that you are representing SAU.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"2166\">Do not discourage or make a teammate feel bad for making a mistake or messing up, always be encouraging when they mess up during practice or competitions.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"2166\">Make sure that your personal social media is used in a way that represents yourself, your Club, your teammates, and SAU positively.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"2166\">Class attendance is a must. You are a student first.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"2166\">Attend all practices, competitions, and Club Sports activities unless you have gotten previous approval from your club advisor or Chris\/Sarah.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"2166\">All jerseys and\/or practice shirts must not have nick-names on them.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"2166\">Don\u2019t wear anything (or advertise) for another school, alcohol products, drugs, or tobacco products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2168\" data-end=\"2473\">Any violation of these rules and regulations will result in having to meet with Club Sport Administration \u2013 Sarah Adcox and Chris Boswell. And your Club Sport Advisor will also be made aware of the violation. A meeting will then be called for all parties to determine the punishment, if any is required.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li data-start=\"2475\" data-end=\"2932\">First offense will be a verbal warning.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2475\" data-end=\"2932\">Second offense will be a missed practice and\/or competition.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2475\" data-end=\"2932\">Third offense will be removal from Club Sports for the remainder of the year. At which time you can appeal for the following school year. If allowed to join and any rules are broken again you will be removed permanently from Club Sports.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2475\" data-end=\"2932\">If you are found guilty of a Title IX violation, you will be removed and not allowed to return to Club Sports.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Being a part of Southern Arkansas Club Sports is a privilege and a representation of not only yourself; but also, your teammates and SAU.
