Club sports are competitive, University-sponsored team sports that compete against other colleges in the region, but do not have varsity status and are not organized by the NCAA. Sponsored by the Mulerider Activity Center and Student Affairs, Club Sports at SAU allow students the opportunity to participate in competitive sports at a local, regional, and national level.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the program is to allow students the opportunity to participate in sports at a competitive or instructional level. And to participate at a local, state, regional, and national level.<\/p>\n

Clubs are regulated by university policies but can be self-regulated and self-administered. All club sports have an on-campus advisor.<\/p>\n

Members assume a variety of roles in the club and will be called upon to assist in all aspects of club operations.<\/p>\n

Club sport athletes are first and foremost students and athletes second.<\/p>\n

Academics are expected to be a priority for all students.<\/p>\n
