{"id":11200,"date":"2025-10-06T08:29:39","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T13:29:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/career-services\/?p=11200"},"modified":"2025-10-06T08:29:39","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T13:29:39","slug":"lab-x-ray-technician","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saumag.edu\/career-services\/lab-x-ray-technician\/","title":{"rendered":"Lab\/X-Ray Technician"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Lab\/X-ray technician is a member of the care team and works to provide timely and accurate laboratory and diagnostic imaging services. \u00a0The technician is responsible for maintaining laboratory and imaging equipment, supplies, records, and procedures in accordance with all CLIA, OSHA, COLA, MHSI policy and procedures, and ADH Radiology standards. \u00a0The Lab\/X-Ray technician is expected to work with the Lab\/X-Ray Director, COO, Physicians, Mid-Level Providers, and the Clinic Manager to provide quality and efficient lab and imaging services. \u00a0Travel may be required to acquire and maintain training and\/or any applicable license.\u00a0The Lab\/X-ray technician is involved in continuous Quality Improvement practices and measures as set by Mainline Health Systems, Inc. and in which the practice focus is based on a Patient Centered Medical Home model of care.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect viable specimens from the patients, perform all in-house testing, prepare specimens\/requisitions for reference testing, and record all lab results in applicable areas.<\/li>\n<li>Perform Proficiency Testing (PT) on specimens received from PT provider (API) and maintain documentation. \u00a0Prepare documentation for scoring after thoroughly reviewing paperwork for clerical errors and for completeness. \u00a0Send results to the PT Provider in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<li>Work with the clinic, patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team regarding test availability, test collection procedures, and cost effectiveness.<\/li>\n<li>Perform Quality Control procedures and maintain proper documentation on all in-house lab tests \u00a0 \u00a0and equipment in accordance with COLA, OSHA, CLIA, MHSI policy and procedure manual, and other applicable standards.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and legible documentation of quality control and calibration procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain adequate inventory of all necessary supplies to ensure workflow.<\/li>\n<li>Report in-house lab reports, reference lab reports and radiology reports in a timely manner to the ordering provider.<\/li>\n<li>Perform all maintenance and temperature checks as required and document.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain all lab logs and records in a neat and orderly manner.<\/li>\n<li>Perform EKG\u2019s on patients as requested by provider.<\/li>\n<li>Perform all in-house x-rays as ordered by provider and maintain logbook. \u00a0Maintain digital imaging \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0equipment and computers.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the x-ray retake and computer shut down log.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all images are delivered to PACS.<\/li>\n<li>Keep monthly Radiologist Reread Log.<\/li>\n<li>Performs daily reconciliation of all outstanding labs\/DI and notifies and resolves any outstanding orders over 3 days.<\/li>\n<li>Specimen collection with label for outside lab testing i.e. Arkansas Pathology, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other necessary duties as assigned by the Director of Lab\/X-Ray, COO, Providers, and\/or Clinic Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Obtain necessary Continuing Education hours required to maintain x-ray license.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in monthly clinical staff meeting and quality improvement practices.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as part of the care team; following and implementing workflows that support and sustain MHSI Patient Centered Medical Home model of care.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to attend and\/or complete continuing education related to this position and\/or any other topics as deemed necessary to MHSI.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in daily team huddles and communicates concerns or necessary information to the care team.<\/li>\n<li>Completion of continual job training processes set forth by Mainline Health Systems, Inc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience is preferred but not necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).<\/li>\n<li>Have the ability to work with staff and patients with warmth and compassion.<\/li>\n<li>Have a high school diploma\/GED and have good speaking and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to speak, read and write English.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds.<\/li>\n<li>Must be willing to travel to other clinic if assigned and mileage reimbursement will be adjusted.<\/li>\n<li>Have a valid and current Arkansas license to perform x-rays.\n<ul>\n<li>Note: A one-year temporary license may be issued by the ADH if you apply for a limited license in the state of Arkansas. \u00a0The employee will have to sit for examination during this period of time. \u00a0 If you are not able to pass the exam during the temporary licensing period, you will have to cease performing x-rays until you have successfully passed the state exam. \u00a0The temporary license is granted only once per applicant in the state of Arkansas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Current ARRT certification<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants can learn more information and apply online <a href=\"https:\/\/workforcenow.adp.com\/mascsr\/default\/mdf\/recruitment\/recruitment.html?cid=e9c5e2aa-f39b-4ed9-9041-9b89ecaf1720&amp;ccId=19000101_000001&amp;jobId=561612&amp;lang=en_US\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lab\/X-ray technician is a member of the care team and works to provide timely and accurate laboratory and diagnostic imaging services. \u00a0The technician is responsible for maintaining laboratory and imaging equipment, supplies, records, and procedures in accordance with all CLIA, OSHA, COLA, MHSI policy and procedures, and ADH Radiology standards. \u00a0The Lab\/X-Ray technician is&#8230;
