Zen Heads...
This is a piece I did dealing with the Zen-like instinct of composing a picture. I based the layou in a very basic way on the Zen rock garden of Ryoan-ji in Japan. Then, I made instinctual adjustments based on the proportions of the canvas. The "rocks" are rigid polyurethane replicas of my own head. The overall piece is 48" wide by 79" long and is meant to be displayed on the floor.
