The golden age of Tiki has long passed, but is enjoying a revivial in a new generation of enthusiasts, myself among them. I find something compelling and magical in these ancient faces and images - something that speaks to the primal side of man's nature. There's also an aspect of the kitschy side of American pop culture that appeals to me as well. Call it lowbrow. Call it art brut. Call it what you will, but don't call it late for happy hour....
