Assignment: Rendering Fruits/Vegetables in Graphite

Your assignment is to take a real, physical vegetable you have brought with you to class, and produce a naturalistic rendering in graphite on paper. Keep in mind concepts of depth and value to make these come alive. The surface of a fruit of vegetable provides unfamiliar surfaces that will allow your right brain to render more accurately what is in front of you.

To be done in class, on sketch paper. Sizes can vary according to size of object. Results will be posted on this page and originals hung in the halllway.
