Working from a copy of a famous painting, covert it completely to values of gray. Either look carefully and paint the values on a separate sheet of paper, or divide the painting into a grid and reproduce on a separate sheet of paper the predominant value of each square. Both items (original and your interpretation) should be presented, mounted side by side on black foamboard or matteboard. Size and borders are up to you.
