Old Master Complementary Conversion

Convert an old master painting into strictly contrasting color values. You may use the contrasting colors themselves along with values from adding white and black to them, as well as creating neutrals (that means you can mix the complements together). You may not use straight black and white, they must be values of one of the contrasting colors (pink, or mint green, for example.) No other colors may be used. Example: if you chooses a red and green color scheme, there must be no blue or yellow present in the work (or orange or purple, etc.). Mount your original work next to your conversion (on foamboard). Your goal is to create as close of an approximation of the original as possible using only these complemetary color schemes.

Other color combinations are purple & yellow or orange and blue. Size of maximum measurement must be no larger than 12", mounted with a 1" border all the way around and in between. If you do a really good job on this one, it could possibly function as a portfolio piece in some respect.
