Process:
The Communications Center strives to provide the best possible service in a
timely manner to all SAU departments.
To help accomplish this, the following steps have been established:
- Submit all publication and word processing work to Communications Center
personnel. Copy-only work will be handled by a worker at the counter.
- Your word processing work request will be assigned a project number and
the project will be assigned to the appropriate person.
- Once your project has been completed, you will be notified and asked
to proof it. This is the time to make any changes in your project.
- If needed, corrections/changes will be made and you will be asked to
proof the final copy and sign off before printing.
- When you pick up your completed project, you will be asked to sign
for it as a form of receipt.
Please help us maintain an effective and efficient system by following this
simple process.
Services Offered:
Copy Service
Walk-up service will be provided on a first come, first serve basis for 100
copies or less. Larger jobs should be left to be picked up later. The worker
will be able to give you an estimated time when the job will be ready.
At least two days notice is required for 1,000 printed materials or more
which need to be folded and/or 50 or more booklets that need to be bound.

Tests
Tests should not be left with a student. Make a ticket at the counter and
leave the test with Communications Center personnel. The tests will be locked up
until personally requested. Security cannot be guaranteed if a student picks up
the tests.

News Releases
Informing the public of information regarding University events and
student/faculty/staff honors is very important. Any information you would like
distributed to the media should come through the Communications Center.
Information should be submitted to the Communications Center (campus box 20) as
early as possible, but at least 10 days prior to an event. For informational
items, please submit as much information as you would like...it's better to have
too much than too little.
