Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement    Revise the paragraph, correcting errors in pronoun-antecedent agreement.  Also correct errors in spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.

chance to make a contribution to an art we loved.  Neither

Marian Anderson nor Sarah Vaughan neglected their oppor-

tunity in the field of music.  Each of these female singers was

recognized  early for their talent.  Both Anderson and Vaughn

began her careers by singing in a Church Choir.  Anderson was

said to be the greatest contralto of his or her generation.  All of

the opera lovers of New York were surprized when he or she

saw anderson perform at the Metropolitan Opera in 1955.

Whereas Anderson succeeded in opera, Vaughn succeeded in

Jazz, despite her similar beginnings  Most of the critic’s call

Vaughn its “Divine One.”  She could change the quality of

one’s voice.   Vaughan’s voice, extensive in her range, helped cre-

ate the jazz style known as bebop.
