Format for Test over The
Great Gatsby
The
test will consist of:
Ø
Three quotes from the novel. Students will have to identify speaker and relevance of
quote to the overall theme of the novel.
Ø
Five True/False questions. Students will be
given a statement about Gatsby and will have to identify it as true or false.
Ø
Ten Matching. Students will have to match
Vocabulary words from the novel to the correct definition.
Ø
Twenty Multiple Choice questions.
These questions will come straight from the reading questions discussed
each day in class.
Ø
One Essay question. Students will have
the choice between explaining the idea of The American Dream and how it is represented
in the novel or discussing the cultural influences on both the novel and the
film.
