Welcome to the Southern Arkansas University College of Business website. We are very proud of the excellent academic and co-curricular programs available for our business students at SAU. Our bachelor of business administration programs provide students with a well-rounded university education, a broad foundation in business, and special emphasis in Accounting, Management and Management Information Systems, Marketing or Finance.

Our national award-winning chapter of FBLA-Phi Beta Lambda and our Students in Free Enterprise Team, along with other student organization in the College, give students opportunities to network with business executives, travel across the nation, and gain important interpersonal and professional skills not available in the classroom environment alone.

Over the last few years, the College has implemented several innovative initiatives and partnerships to enhance academic programs for our students.

• Partnering with CISCO, an industry leader in computer networking, the College installed a computer networking classroom and implemented curriculum that prepares CIS students to take exams leading to certification as CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and a CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

• Working with the CFP® Board in Denver, Colorado, the College developed a curriculum to prepare finance students to take the Certified Financial Planner examination. The CFP® program at SAU was the first such program offered in Arkansas.

• The College sponsors an elective international field experience course in partnership with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) and the Universidad Autonoma de Guadealajara (GAD); students participate in a semester-long study of foreign business and culture, which includes an intensive week of study at the GAD campus in Guadalajara, Mexico.

• The College of Business offers selected upper level business classes via the internet.  As well, the College facilitates the distance learning MBA offered by UALR on the campus of Southern Arkansas University via compressed video.

These and other innovative programs in the College of Business provide students with an educational experience unparallel to other programs in the state and region.
