Criminal Justice

The Criminal Justice Program started in the fall of 1999 with about 30 majors and minors. Since then the program has grown by leaps and bounds. It currently has about 70 majors and minors. That makes the Criminal Justice Department the largest single department on Southern Arkansas University's campus.

The criminal justice major is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in a variety of careers and to enable experienced persons to expand their knowledge and improve their skills. The bachelor’s degree may qualify a person for careers in law enforcement, juvenile justice, corrections, and courts.
