Magnolia, Ark.— The Union Lady Cyclones improved their record to 9-2 on the season by downing the Wolverettes 49-27 at the Southern Arkansas University high school tournament.
Sharonda Davis helped send the Lady Cyclones into the next round of the tournament by scoring 21 points knocking down eight from the field. Mary Beth Gilmore was the only other Union player in double-figures with 10.
The Wolverettes were led by Sophia Dunn with 12 points followed by Tammy Harris with eight.
Prescott dropped to 2-5 on the season while Union advances to play Lewisville, Wednesday at 7:30pm. Lewisville defeated West Side Christian Saturday, 69-39.
