Magnolia, Ark.— The Parkers Chapel Lady Trojans held Magnolia’s Lady Panthers scoreless while going on a 10-0 run in the final 5:18 to force Magnolia out of the Southern Arkansas University high school tournament with a final of 38-29. Magnolia drops to 0-4 on the season while Parkers Chapel improves their record to 7-4.
The Lady Trojans were led by Molly Murray with 19 points knocking down six from beyond the arc. Amandy Swilly added 13 shooting 56 percent (5-of-9) from the charity stripe. Hannah Cheshier contributed five and Lauren Sideroff one to round out the scoring for Parkers Chapel.
Monica Davis had a team-high eight points for the Lady Panthers with April Glasgow and Amber Goodwin adding five apiece. Glasgow and Davis both shot 50 percent from the freethrow line.
Parkers Chapel improves to 7-4 on the season advancing to play Emerson, Thursday at 8:50pm.
Emerson defeated Stamps 49-24 on Saturday.
