Magnolia, AR--Southern Arkansas University defeated Pittsburg State University 15-8, 15-8, 16-14 to snap a three-match skid in the Sleep Inn Invitational Volleyball Tournament in Edmond, OK, last Saturday.

The Riderettes lost Saturday's opener to unbeaten Central Missouri State University 15-5, 15-10, 15-7 after losing twice Friday to host University of Central Oklahoma and Texas A&M-Kingsville. To bounce back and win their last match should have a positive effect on the Riderettes.

In the tourney, Central Missouri finished 4-0, Central Oklahoma 3-1, Pittsburg State, St. Edward's and Texas A&M-Kingsville 2-2, SAU 1-3 and Fort Hays State 0-4.

The Riderettes next play in Denton, Texas, Friday and Saturday in the Texas Woman's University Labor Day Classic.
