Southern Arkansas University Announces Participation in National "Take A Kid To The Game" Football Program

Magnolia, AR--Area youngsters have an opportunity to experience the college game-day atmosphere when Southern Arkansas University hosts NCAA Football’s annual "Take a Kid to the Game" (TAKG) program, October 6, 2001. Kids, ages 12 and younger, will receive a FREE ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket, to watch the Muleriders take on State University of West Georgia at Wilkins Stadium.

Southern Arkansas is one of more than 150 schools across the nation that are participating in this campaign focused on attracting more of the nation’s youths to college games. The Take a Kid to the Game program is entering its sixth year in the promotion of NCAA Athletics.

"We are very excited to be participating in the NCAA Take a Kid to the Game initiative," said Jay Adcox, athletic director at SAU. "Our wish is that all of the young kids in our immediate area will have the opportunity to experience the one-of-a-kind atmosphere that is NCAA Football."

The Take a Kid to the Game program is one of the national promotions of NCAA Football, the marketing arm of college football. NCAA Football represents a coalition of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and the Conference Commissioners Association.
