Departmental Mission Statement

• Prepare students for careers in both mathematics and computer science
• Prepare students for graduate training in both mathematics and computer science
• Prepare elementary, middle school, and secondary teachers in the content area of mathematics
• Prepare graduate students in education in the content area of mathematics for the MEd degree
• Provide both minor programs and service courses in both mathematics and computer science
• Support the general education program
• Provide developmental mathematics courses
• Maintain quality programs in all areas
